Carol Critelli, cellist, has music degrees from the University of Montana and the Eastman School of Music. She retired from teaching at Montana State University-Billings and now maintains a private cello teaching studio.

Diane Fossen teaches beginning cello. She earned a degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. She taught orchestra for many years in the Billings Public Schools and also taught violin at Eastern Montana College and Rocky Mt. College. She plays viola in the Billings Symphony, violin in the Rimrock Opera Orchestra, and has a private violin and viola studio in her home. She is the only teacher in town who starts teaching at 7 a.m.!

Chuck has been playing the guitar since 1973, having taught himself from John Denver songbooks. He had the good fortune of meeting some great musicians along the way and asked the right questions at the right time in his musical development. He has been teaching at Hansen Music since May of 2002, and his style is music theory (understanding musical concepts). He likes to teach from different musical styles to provide a rounded understanding of the guitar. Some styles include rock, classical, acoustic fingerstyle, blues, slide guitar, alternate tunings, and lead guitar. He currently performs solo acoustic material and with the worship team at City Church of Billings.

Mary LaMonaca, Concertmaster of the Rimrock Opera Orchestra and former Billings Symphony Concertmaster for 31 years, is a native of Billings. Mary received her Bachelor’s degree in Music from Indiana University and her Master’s degree in violin from the New England Conservatory. Summers during these college years were spent at Aspen, Tanglewood, and the International Chamber Music Academy in Italy and Switzerland. Her professional playing years were spent as a member of the Houston Symphony, the Rice University Contemporary Chamber Players, and the Allegri String Quartet of Houston. Ms. LaMonaca was one of the founding members of the Red Lodge Music Festival and the Yellowstone Chamber Players.

Geoffrey Taylor is a professional violinist and teacher who lives in Billings Montana and who plays with the Billings Symphony Orchestra and Helena Symphony. Prior to living in Billings, Geoffrey lived in Greeley Colorado where he attended the University of Northern Colorado and received a Bachelors of Music in violin performance. Geoffrey is well versed in alternative styles and is an avid improvisationalist.
